Context

igloocompany builds a smart lock ecosystem used across Southeast Asia and beyond. I worked on two of its product lines:

• iglooworks, the enterprise access control platform for managing smart locks, users, and access across sites.
• igloohome, the smart lock product line.

Timeline

Software Engineer III, Sep 2020 – Mar 2026

iglooworks and igloohome.

• Led the iglooworks platform engineering team and managed architecture and development across both product lines.
• Drove technical decisions for microservices architecture, API design, and cloud infrastructure.
• Mentored engineers: coding standards, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Worked with Singapore HQ on product roadmap and technical strategy, and owned end-to-end delivery of critical features.

Software Engineer II, Aug 2019 – Aug 2020

Backend for igloohome and iglooworks.

• Built RESTful and GraphQL APIs and microservices for the IoT smart lock ecosystem, including AWS IoT Core and MQTT integration.
• Designed and optimized database schemas, improving query performance by 60%.
• Contributed to proof-of-concept projects for new product features and market expansion.

Software Engineer I, Nov 2018 – Jul 2019

• Built responsive web applications and interactive dashboards for device management, user analytics, and access control.
